439 Stainless Steel Sheet/Plate
439 stainless steel sheet is based on the ordinary ferrite material (430) on the basis of lowering the C content, while adding Ti and other stabilizing elements, so that the steel’s resistance to intergranular corrosion, moldability and weldability have improved.
Compared with the 304 stainless steel items, its elongation is low (about 30%), but the strength, corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance is better than 200 series materials.
- Elevator and escalator decoration board
- Building decorative boards, such as decorative structural parts and structural pipes.
- Automotive exhaust system components
- Washer inner cylinder
Type 439 provides good formability. Olsen Cup heights of 0.490″ are obtainable, flat bends of 180° are possible with material up to 0.080″ thick. The Limiting Draw Ratio (LDR) for this alloy is 2.13.
Type 439 is generally considered to be weldable by the common fusion and resistance techniques. It has weldability comparable to Type 409 stainless steel.
